Democratic labour law demanded
Sunday, 22 June 2014
Leaders of garment workers in Dhaka on Sunday demanded that a democratic labour law be enacted ensuring their rights as the latest amendment to the existing law has failed to ensure that. They came up with the demand at a views-exchanged meeting in the city on the poor lifestyle of garment workers and the role of trade unions. Bangladesh Sangjukta Garments Sramik Federation organised the meeting, according to a news agency.
