Dengue: 15 more die--

At least 15 people were reported dead from dengue and 2,158 more hospitalised with the mosquito-borne diseases during the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.
Of the total, eight fatalities were reported in Dhaka city while the remaining seven deaths were reported outside the city, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) figures.
With the latest daily counts, the total fatalities from dengue claimed to 1,079 since January 2023.
Of the new dengue patients, some 585 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 1,476 outside the city, according to DGHS.
Some 9,171 dengue patients were taking treatment in hospitals across the country, 2,912 of them were in Dhaka until Saturday, the DGHS reported.
Since January this year, the total dengue cases reached 2,20,822 2, it said, adding that 2,10,572 of them had recovered from the disease.
The total death toll from dengue was recorded at 281 while the number dengue cases were 1,23,808 in 2022.
