Dengue: 19 more die with 3033 new cases

With 19 more deaths from dengue in 24 hours till Monday morning, the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh rose to 928 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
At least 3,033 new patients were hospitalised with the viral fever throughout the country during the past 24 hours, the DGHS data showed. Of the total, some 801 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the remaining were hospitalised outside the capital.
According to a DGHS press release, some 10,147 dengue patients were receiving treatment at hospitals across the country until Monday morning and around 3,622 of them were in hospitals in the capital.
As many as, 190,758 dengue cases have been reported in the country this year since January last and around 179,683 had recovered from the disease.
