Dengue claims five more lives--

Dengue claimed five more lives in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning, and the fatalities from the disease rose to 187 this year, reports UNB.
Dengue situation has worsened this month, as it has claimed highest 65 lives until September 24, while the death toll was 41 and 39 in July and August respectively.
During the 24-hour period, 688 more patients were hospitalised, raising the number of confirmed cases to 43, 841 this year.
According to the DGHS, new cases were reported as follows: 158 in Barishal Division (Out of CC), 106 in Chattogram Division (Out of CC), 126 in Dhaka Division (Out of CC), 94 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 73 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 41 in Khulna Division (Out of CC), 30 in Mymensingh Division, five in Rangpur Division and 35 in Rajshahi Division (Out of CC).
