Dengue death toll rises to 56, record 635 hospitalised

Dengue situation in the country is worsening as record 635 dengue patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning. One more also died during the period.
With the latest daily counts, fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease this year rise to 56 and the number of hospitalised patients is 16,727.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the figures in its regular bulletin.
Of the latest patients reported, 518 were admitted to Dhaka city hospitals and the remaining 117 in other districts.
Among them, three were reported in Dhaka division excluding Dhaka city, one in Mymensingh, 42 in Chattogram, 26 in Khulna, 28 in Rajshahi and 17 in Barishal.
