Denmark assures of assistance to develop shipping industry

Denmark assures of continuing financial and technical cooperation and assistance to Bangladesh to develop the shipping industry particularly on repairing, manufacturing and marketing, reports UNB.
The assurance came when Denmark Ambassador Einar Hedogard Jensen paid a farewell call on President Zillur Rahman at the Bangabhaban Sunday.
During the meeting, the outgoing ambassador informed the President that cooperation in both technical and investment would be further increased between Bangladesh and Denmark. They will continue extending technical know-how.
Jensen, who is assigned to Department of Foreign Aids of his country, also assured that he would play positive role in extending assistance to Bangladesh. He said he experienced a lot about the country while discharging responsibilities during his tenure in Bangladesh.
Expressing satisfaction over the role played by the outgoing envoy, President Zillur Rahman said all-out cooperation would be further extended to the new ambassador.
