Dense fog disrupts ferry services

MANIKGANJ, Jan 13 (UNB): Launch and ferry services on Paturia-Doulatdia river route remained suspended for six hours until 9:00 am Wednesday due to dense fog, causing sufferings to the passengers.
Seven ferries loaded with passengers and vehicles were also anchored at Paturia and Doulatdia ghats.
Ashraf Ullah Khan, Manager of (BIWTC) at Aricha, told the news agency that ferry and launch services were suspended at 3:00 am to avoid accident as the channel was not visible due to thick fog.
