Dense fog disrupts life

The capital was covered under a blanket of thick fog from Saturday night to Sunday morning. A mild cold wave is sweeping different districts of Rangpur, Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions from Thursday night, paralysing normal life and causing sufferings to the people, particularly the poor. In the wake of poor visibility due to foggy weather, movement of vehicles on roads and highways across the country remained thin in the last three days compared to that in early part of the previous week. In capital, foggy weather affected traffic in the last 72 hours ending on Sunday morning. Dense fogs, mists in the air are forcing the sun to remain invisible most of the day on Saturday. Biting cold coupled with cooler winds made life miserable, according to a news agency.
