Depression and stress

It is a common practice in our society that most of us tend to avoid discussing our psychological problem with anyone or seek help from psychiatrists and suffer quietly. Our society has to be more open about discussing the psychological problems with others and the common people should not be afraid of being stigmatized by  society. When we restrict mental sickness to ourselves, it harms us in a big way. When we talk about our psychological disorder we shall find that we are not alone and our ailments are not incurable. We can check the problem and function properly in life and even can excel in our professional life.
We are living in a fast paced world and we encounter stress and depression regularly.  When stress becomes constant and we feel depressed for a long time, we must consult a psychiatrist and seek help.  With counseling and medicine we can overcome our mental illness and lead a healthy and happy life. We can search on the internet and educate ourselves about various mental problems. To eliminate mental illness, the patients must acknowledge his/ her problem and be ready to work on it. One has to be honest about self examination.  The family must pay adequate attention when they notice psychological problems in one of their members and instead of suppressing it, they should take their loved one to a psychiatrist.
