Depression over Bay

The depression over the southeast Bay and adjoining areas moved slightly west-northwestwards over the last 12 hours, a Met office special weather bulletin said. The depression was centred about 1650 kilometres south-southwest of the Chittagong Port, 1560 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar Port and 1620 km south of Mongla Port at 6:00 pm Friday. It is likely to intensify further and move in the west-northwest direction, the bulletin said. —BSS
