Depression over Bay moves slightly westwards

The depression over southwest Bay moved slightly westwards over the same area at 3pm Sunday. A special Met Office bulletin said the depression centered about 1,845-km southwest of Chittagong port, 1,775-km southwest of Cox's Bazar port, and 1,725-km southwest of Mongla port. "It is likely to move in a west-northwesterly direction further," it said. Maximum sustained wind speed within 44-km of the depression centre is about 40kph rising to 50kph in gusts/squalls. Sea will remain moderate near the system.
