Derailment halts Dhaka-Ctg-Sylhe rail services

A compartment of a freight train derailed at Jatrapur under Ashuganj upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Friday morning disrupting train services on Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Sylhet routes. Bangladesh Railways sources said the train veered off the track around 10:30 am, halting train services on the two routes. However, there was no report of any causality. On information, a rescue team reached the spot to remove the compartment, according to UNB.
