Derailment halts Sirajganj-Ishwardi train service

Train communication between Sirajganj and Ishwardi has been suspended as two bogies of a freight train derailed in Raipur area in Sirajganj Sadar Upazila on Saturday night. Sirajganj Railway Station sources said two container carriages of a Sirjganj-bound train loaded with livestock feeds, veered off the tracks in the area around 8:00pm on Saturday, halting train services in the Sirajganj-Ishwardi route. However, no casualties were reported. On information, two salvage trains from Pakshi rushed to the spot and were working to remove the derailed bogies, according to UNB.
