Deranged youth kills self in Moulvibazar

A mentally ill young man allegedly committed suicide at Kamalganj upazila in Moulvibazar district on Thursday. Police recovered the body of Ruman Chowdhury, 22, son of late Syed Abdur Rauf Chowdhury of Srinathpur village under the upazila on Thursday afternoon after he had committed suicide by hanging himself from a beam of his room. Kamalganj Police Station sub-inspector Champak Dham said Ruman had been under treatment of psychiatrist Dr Shamsul Haque Chowdhury. His brother Abdul Basit said he had been receiving treatment for the mental illness for a long time, according to UNB.
