Deshi Ballers, a female-led sports development organisation, promoting women's basketball in Bangladesh, observed their 5th year through a basketball tournament in the banner of "5 Year Legacy Hoopfest Powered by IUB". The two-day tournament hosted by Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) was held at Sports Complex of the campus in the city recently. In the U-18 Girls category, Growing Up Club clinched the title while Aeros became champions in U-18 Boys, Airheads in All Age Girls, Josephites in All Age Boys, and Crystal in Co-ed. Vice Chancellor of IUB Tanweer Hasan, PhD, Captain of the Bangladesh Women's National Cricket Team Jahanara Alam and Student Adviser and Outreach Coordinator Mushfiq Hassan present on the occasion
