Friday, 3 July 2015

A Dhaka court on Friday placed 12 suspected militants on a three-day remand each in a case filed with Darus Salam Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Molla Saiful Islam passed the order when the investigation officer of the case Sub-Inspector Mohammad Jalal uddin produced them before his court seeking a 7-day remand.
No bail petition was filed with the court for the 12 suspected militants as there was no lawyer for them.
General Recording officer of the CMM court Wahidur Rahman confirmed about the remand to a news agency.
Earlier, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in simultaneous drives arrested 12 militants, including AQIS resident coordinator and its advisor, and recovered a huge cache of explosives and bomb-making materials from different areas of the city early Thursday.
