Detainee dies \\\'jumping off\\\' Khulna SP office

A detainee accused in a kidnap case, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the police super's office in Khulna city on Saturday afternoon. The dead is Tushar Kanti Paul, 38. Police arrested him from the city’s Boyra area on Friday in connection with the kidnapping of a young girl for ransom in Dumuria Upazila. Police officials said Tushar was taken to the police super's office on Saturday afternoon for quizzing. After the interrogation, Tushar was being taken to the court around 4:00pm when he suddenly jumped from the 1st floor of the SP office and was injured. He was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries after some time, according to UNB.
