Detectives arrest five over AL leader Farhad murder

Detectives arrested five people from Gulshan and Mirpur areas on Friday night for their suspected link to the murder of Awami League leader Farhad Ali, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of Detective Branch of police conducted a drive in the areas and arrested five people along with four pistols, four magazines and 12 rounds of bullets, said DB (North) sources.
Earlier on June 15, Farhad Hossain, 52, general secretary of Badda union Awami League, was shot to death by unknown miscreants in the city's Uttar Badda area while coming out of Baitus Salam-Jame mosque after offering Juma prayers.
On July 5, two murder suspects were killed in a reported gunfight with detectives in Uttar
Badda area.
