Developing the habit of exam-oriented writing

Tajul is a student of class nine in a high school. He studies very hard throughout the year. He reads much, and writes very little. He cannot write in the exam to his satisfaction since he has not practised writing enough during the semester/year.
There are hundreds of students like Tajul who read for the whole year, but do not practise writing. The result is that they cannot appear the examination satisfactorily.
If students really want to perform well, there is no alternative for them but to develop the habit of writing- and writing much. Learners can write on what they have read, write answers to the questions being taken from the model/sample question papers, write letters to the near and dear ones, letters to the editor of a newspaper, write in other parts of the newspapers, write books or in the magazines and so on. They should try to know how to celebrate writing. The more they will write, the more they will understand their deficiencies of knowledge and try to overcome their weaknesses. Thus, the habit of writing much will make them inspired to read more.
The habit of vast reading will again inspire them be creative in their expressions. They will realise that if they study thoroughly and study several subjects for the same course, they can write beautifully and their expression will be much more attractive to the examiners and thus to others.
Students need to remember that the teachers would evaluate them based on what they have written in the exam and not how much they have studied. Someone who has spent enough time in reading for the whole semester/year but cannot write satisfactorily in the exam will get less marks than someone who has read moderately but can produce his or her ideas on the exam scripts in an impressive manner. Students need to be skilled in writing answers of short and broad questions. They also need to know how to write answers when there is huge time constraint so that they can cope up with any situation that might arise in the exam hall.
When you will grow the habit of writing, you will see that your fingers will always feel like writing. You will see that you will always try to write in your own way and in a creative manner. Your writing will be a special type, your answers will not be like that of anyone else-it will be completely your own. And surely you will get good marks in the examination.
