Dhaka-13 candidates pledge to combat terrorism, narcotics

Candidates of Dhaka-13 constituency have vowed to combat terrorism and narcotics, restore canals, and implement full digitalisation of public services.
They made the commitments while speaking at a programme styled 'Electoral Manifesto Presentation and Announcement to Comply Electoral Code of Conduct' organised by the returning officer of Dhaka-13 at a conference centre in the capital's Mohammadpur area on Wednesday.
Returning Officer of Dhaka-13 and 15 constituenciesr Md Younus Ali presided over the function.
Candidates including BNP's Bobby Hajjaj, Maulana Mamunul Haque of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis and the 11-party alliance, BSD's Khalequzzaman, Gono Adhikar Parishad's Mizanur Rahman, Bangladesh Muslim League's Shahriar Iftekhar, Insaniat Biplob's Fatema Akhter Munia, and Bangladesh Minority Janata Party's Md. Shahabuddin presented their manifestos one by one.
The candidates made various pledges to improve the quality of life for residents of the area, which includes part of Mohammadpur, Adabor and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar).
