Dhaka, Algiers sign MoU to cement ties

Bangladesh and Algeria on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on foreign office consultations, the first-ever bilateral agreement signed between the two countries. Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra signed the MoU in the Algerian capital, said an official release. The MoU was signed against the backdrop of the present government’s thrust on further broadening and deepening bilateral relations with the African countries, according to a news agency.
