Dhaka Bank Foundation donates Tk 1.2m to BIRDEM

Dhaka Bank Foundation has recently provided a donation of Tk 1.2 million to Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM) as a gesture of humanitarian consideration for the dialysis treatment of financially distressed people.

The foundation has donated BIRDEM the amount as part of its corporate social responsibility, said a press release.

Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL) Vice-Chairman Mohammed Hanif formally handed over the cheque of the donation to Diabetic Association of Bangladesh President AK Azad Khan at BIRDEM Conference Centre in the city recently.

Also present at the function were DBL Managing Director Shahed Noman, BIRDEM Director General Ziauddin Ahmed, Director (Clinical Services) Nazmun Nahar, Project Director (Kidney Transplant Unit) Abul Mansur, Deputy Director (Publication and Public Relations) Farid Kabir and DBL Assistant Vice-President Azam Khan.
