Dhaka-Beijing jt efforts key to regional peace: Li

Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Li Jun on Sunday said both Bangladesh and China should strengthen cooperation between their militaries and law enforcement departments to ensure their respective national security and stability. He said both the countries are ‘victims of terrorism and extremism’, and such cooperation and exchanges will help promote ‘peace and stability’ in the region. “No development could be achieved without a sound security situation,” he said this while delivering his speech on ‘China’s Comprehensively Deepening Reform and its Global Impact - A New Opportunity for China-Bangladesh Cooperation’ at the North South University, according to a news agency.
