Dhaka Club to organise sports carnival

Dhaka Club along with Kurmitola Golf Club, Cadet College Club, Gulshan Club, Uttara Club as co-hosts, is going to organise the Dhaka Sports Carnival-2008 for the 4th time in the city from November 28th to 30th.
This year the carnival has been named UCB Dhaka Sports Carnival-2008 with a slogan of 'Friendship through sports.'
Seven sporting events bridge, golf, cricket (Six a side), tennis, snooker, squash and swimming will be held at different venues under the arrangement of five local clubs.
This year 80 participants from International Club, Calcutta Club, Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Jaipur Club, CC and FC, Saturday Club and Bhubaneswar of India will participate in the carnival. Number of participants from Bangladesh will be 280.
Bengal Plastic Industries Limited, Eastern Bank Limited and Ratul Properties have also offered their financial support to host the carnival.
