Dhaka-Ctg train service resumes after 4-hr

Rail communications on the Dhaka-Chittagong route, which remained suspended following derailment of a container train in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj district, resumed after four hours on Saturday morning. Kishore Narayan Chowdhury, an official of Bhairab Rail Station, said a bogie of a Dhaka-bound container train went off the track at Bhairab railway station around 2:30 am. The train service resumed at 6:30 am as a relief train from Akhaura rushed to the spot and salvaged the derailed compartment, he said. However, there was no report of casualty in the incident, according to UNB.
