Dhaka-Delhi to review bilateral trade tmrw

The 9th round of joint working group (JWG) meeting on trade between Bangladesh and India begins in Dhaka on Wednesday to review the current status of bilateral trade and discuss measures to improve trade ties further. Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, M Shahabuddin Patwary will lead the Bangladesh side while Joint Secretary, Foreign Trade (South Asia), Department of Commerce, India Arvind Mehta will lead the high level Indian delegation in the meeting. The JWG on trade, established under the framework of the bilateral trade agreement, deals with the issues of border infrastructure, trade facilitation and identification as well as removal of trade barriers, according to UNB.
