Dhaka dismisses Delhi media reports on Assam bombings

A foreign ministry spokesman Saturday dismissed outright some reports published in the Indian media alleging involvement of a Bangladesh-based extremist group in the recent Assam serial bombings. "The allegations are totally baseless and, as in the past, have no evidence to back them up," the spokesman said. He said Bangladesh had adopted the strictest measures against terrorists and would never allow her territory to be used to aid attacks on other countries. — UNB
