Dhaka DSA, Ansar move to final

Hosts Dhaka DSA and Bangladesh Ansar and VDP moved to the final of the EXIM Bank 19th National Women's Handball Competition eliminating their respective opponents in the semis at the Mirpur Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
The final match between these two sides will be held Wednesday at 2:15 pm at the same venue. Private satellite channel ATN Bangla will telecast the match live.
Bangladesh Handball Federation President Dr Nurul Amin is scheduled to distribute prize among the winners.
In the day's semifinal, Group B champions Dhaka DSA outplayed Group C champions Narail DSA by 30-18 goals after leading the first half by 15-06.
Khaleda and Happy scored six goals each for Dhaka DSA while Shaathi netted seven goals for Narail DSA. Shaathi was named player of the match.
In the 2nd semifinal, Group A champions Ansar & VDP crushed Group D champions Faridpur DSA by 37-9 goals after a 13-4 first half lead.
Moyna notched nine goals for Ansar while Shahida scored seven goals. Mayna was named player of the match.
Earlier in the group matches, Dhaka DSA thrashed Jessore DSA 33-10, Faridpur DSA beat Rajshahi DSA 17-13 while Ansar & VDP slammed Chittagong DSA by 30-4 goals.
