Dhaka DSA beat Faridpur 16-8, BJMC-Ansar & VDP final today

Dhaka DSA finished third in the Basic Bank 18th National Women's Handball Champio-nship beating Faridpur DSA by 16-8 goals in a place-deciding match at the Dhanmondi Women's Sports Complex Monday, reports UNB.
Akherun scored eight goals for the winners, which dominated the first half 8-3 while Jolly netted two goals for the losers.
The two giants of the country's women's handball -- holders BJMC and runners-up Ansar & VDP -- will again meet in the final today (Tuesday) at 3pm at the Outer Stadium Hanbdall court.
Basic Bank managing director AH Ekbal Hossain will be the chief guest in the final.
Earlier, in the semi-finals on Sunday, Bangladesh Ansar & VDP beat Dhaka DSA by 25-5 goals after leading the first half 10-4 while BJMC outclassed Faridpur DSA by 27-4 goals after dominating the first session 13-3.
