Thursday, 10 March 2011

Diplomatic and economic ties between Bangladesh and Mauritius are expected to get a boost as the government of the African island state has approved a proposal of Dhaka to open an embassy there. "We've received the approval Wednesday and this'll be the country's 49th mission," said a foreign ministry official. Employment opportunities in Mauritius are growing and Dhaka can tap the market, he said adding, "Mauritius also enjoy AGOA facility under which it can export products to the US market without duty." - bdnews24.com
