Reiterating its unequivocal commitment to free and open trade, Bangladesh appreciated the robust and the advantageous trading relationship that it enjoyed with the EU and the significant level of support it was receiving through EC trade-related technical assistance programmes.
The appreciation was made at the fourth meeting of the Bangladesh-EC Joint Commission Specialised Sub-Group on Trade and Economic Development in the city Wednesday, said a press release.
The meeting was co-chaired by Dr Ruhul Amin Sarker, joint secretary (FTA), Ministry of Commerce, on the Bangladesh side and Peter Berz, deputy head of unit, DG Trade on the EC side.
The sub-group meeting was held in a constructive and fruitful atmosphere.
