Dhaka-Kolkata train travel

From now, the India-bound Bangladeshi passengers will be able to buy return tickets for Dhaka-Kolkata journey in the Maitree Express from ticket counters in both the countries. It will surely build stronger people-to-people relations between the two neighbouring countries.
Many Bangladeshis visit India for different purposes. If train journey becomes comfortable, they will greatly be benefitted.
India and Bangladesh should relax their visa rules for each other's citizens. We hope on-arrival visa system will be introduced soon. It needs to be simplified to boost tourism. India has already decided to extend visa-on-arrival facility to tourists from Bangladesh and many other countries with effect from October this year. On-arrival-visa system will boost the tourism sector and benefit both the countries tremendously.
