Dhaka Mohammedan maintain all-win run

Dhaka Mohammedan SC Ltd maintained their solo lead in the 10-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football with all-win record outplaying Chittagong Abahani Ltd by 5-1 goals at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.
With the day's sixth consecutive win, the traditional black and whites Mohammedan comfortably dominated the league table securing full 18 points from straight six matches while Chittagong Abahani remained at the bottom losing all the six matches.
After barren first half in the day's match, Burkina Faso defender Mounzir Coulidiati put the Mohammedan SC ahead in the 47th minute (1-0); Nigerian booter Sunday Emmanuel doubled the margin in the 55th minute (2-0); Sourav Dewan scored twice in the 63rd and 90th minutes (4-0) while Chittang Abahani defender Salim Reza scored a suicidal goal in the 85th minute (5-0).
Mohammedan were restricted to 10-man in the 22nd minute of the match as their defender SA Topu got marching order after receiving 2nd yellow card in the match
Imtiaz Sultan Jitu scored the lone goal for Chittagong Abahani in the 90+6 minute from a penalty (5-1).
In the day's other match, Rahmatganj MFS, riding on a double hattrick by Ghana striker Samuel Boateng, remained at the 2nd slot in the league table crushing Dhaka Wanderers Club by 6-1 goals at the Shaheed Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj Saturday afternoon.
Ghana forward Samuel Boateng made the first double hattrick in the ongoing league scoring all the six goals in the 23rd, 37th, 44th, 63rd, 66th and 70th minutes.
Saief Samsud scored the face saving goal fir the Wanderers Club in the 60th minute
Six-time champions Dhaka Abahani Limited, without any foreign players, remained at the 3rd slot in the league table securing 13 points from six matches with four win, one draw and defeat.
Brothers Union Club are in the 4th place with 11 points from six matches while holders Bashundhara Kings are struggling at the 5th slot securing 10 points from six matches with three win, one draw and two defeats.
