Dhaka Mohammedan too good for Biyanibazar

Dhaka Mohammedan looked in impressive form as they humbled Sylhet's Biyanibazar Sporting Club 4-1 in the lone match of the Citycell Bangladesh League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Tuesday, reports BSS.
Zahid Hasan Emily continued to hog headlines for black and white jersey Mohammedan team with a brace of goals. Komol and Emeka Christian made sure the midfielders were in action too as they pumped in goal apiece for the traditional black and white outfits.
Mohammedan hardly seemed perturbed despite coming in the match their coach Maruful Haque who resigned and goalkeeping coach Ponir took the helm as Mohammedan began aggressively.
This attitude proved effective as within four minutes as Emily made no mistake to latch on their Nigerian forward Alamu Bukola minus off Shakil cross to opne the scoring for Mohammedan.
Emily doubled the margin in the 32nd minute and Bukola did the spade work to set Emily free with a square pass and the national striker beat Biyanibazar custodian Sultan with a cracking grounder. This was Enamul's 18th goal of the league to catch Abahani's Enamul to be joint top scorer in this year's league.
Komol came into the act two minute later after Biyanibazar defence fumbled to clear a Bukola shot and unmarked Komol had just to tap the ball home from a close range.
Mohammedan attacking line concentrated to help Emily grab his hat-trick but their efforts went futile. Emily squandered his easiest chance in the 60th minute as he placed the ball over off a Shakil cross.
Mohammedan in a bid increase the margin left their citadel open and in the 67th minute as substitute midfielder Layek beat Mohammedan custodian Aminul in the far post.
Emeka Christian, the Nigerian midfielder who took the field after being absent for five matches due to the dispute with the officials over the payment showed his class scoring the fourth just within four minutes of his insertion. Beating the attempted offside trap with a Komol chip Emeka had no difficulty to beat hapless Sultan from the six yard box.
Mohammedan took their tally to 58 points, eight short of table toppers Abahani in 22 matches while relegation bound Biyanibazar remained on their previous 14 off 21 encounters.
