Dhaka praises promptness of UN response

Bangladesh has expressed its deep appreciation for the quick response of the United Nations in the aftermath of the cyclone Sidr that battered the country's coastal belt last month, reports BSS.
At a meeting on the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) at the UN in New York Thursday, Dhaka thanked the international community for the unprecedented outpouring of generosity in helping Bangladesh face the huge task of rehabilitation and reconstruction following the natural catastrophe, according to a message received in Dhaka.
