Dhaka protests Indian media access for fugitive Hasina
Indian Deputy HC summoned

Bangladesh has formally urged India to bar former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is reportedly residing in New Delhi after fleeing the country, from giving interviews or making statements to the Indian mainstream media - describing such exposure as "not conducive to bilateral relations."
According to diplomatic sources, the Indian Deputy High Commissioner, Pawan Badhe, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Wednesday , where the message was conveyed by the Director General (South Asia Wing) of the ministry.
During the meeting, Bangladesh expressed its deep concern over the continued opportunity given to the fugitive ex-premier to speak to major Indian news outlets from the Indian capital.
The ministry told the Indian envoy that allowing a person facing trial in Bangladesh for crimes against humanity to take refuge in India and use Indian media platforms to spread "anti-Bangladesh rhetoric and incite extremist activity" was unacceptable and detrimental to the spirit of constructive cooperation between the two neighbours.
"This move does not help foster a productive and friendly bilateral relationship," the Bangladeshi side was quoted as saying.
Dhaka requested that New Delhi immediately prevent Sheikh Hasina from making further appearances or statements through Indian media outlets and urged the Indian diplomat to convey this concern and formal request to his government.
