Dhaka stocks fall midday on profit-taking

Dhaka stocks slipped in midday trade Sunday as investors locked in reaping profits from the rise in the closing day of the previous week. The DGEN or general index declined 1.90 points or 0.08 percent to reach 2196.83 at 12.18pm. The DSI or all-share price index fell 2.91 points or 0.16 percent to 1803.22. Of the issues traded, 78 gained, 88 fell and 19 issues held steady. Turnover at midday reached Tk 775.55 million. On Thursday, the total turnover was Tk 1.61 billion.
