Dhaka, Yangon may resume air links this week

The country is likely to re-establish air connectivity with Myanmar this week as Bangladesh's Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry has completed necessary work to this end. "We have already signed the document and sent it to the relevant ministries. We are expecting development this week," Md Atharul Islam, Secretary of the ministry said. Dhaka and Yangon initialed a new Air Services Agreement (ASA) to operate seven passenger and four cargo flights a week between the two countries.
