Dhaka\\\'s rail link with Ctg, Sylhet snapped

Dhaka's rail communications with Chittagong and Sylhet cities have remained suspended following derailment of a freight train in Akhaura junction near Akhaura Railway Station in Brahmanbaria district on Thursday morning. Local sources said wheels of three bogies of a Dhaka’s Kamalapur-bound goods-laden train from Chittagong Railway Station veered off the track around 10:20am, halting train movement on the Chittagong-Dhaka and Chittagong-Sylhet routes. A relief train from Akhaura reached the spot and started salvage work, according to a news agency.
