Dhaka\\\'s rail links with Chittagong, Sylhet snapped

Dhaka’s rail communications with Chittagong and Sylhet have been suspended after a train derailed in Brahmanbaria. Railway authorities said that a Chittagong-bound container train went off the tracks near the Talshahar Railway Station in Brahmanbaria. Brahmanbaria’s Assistant Station Master Mainul Hossain said that at least eight trains were stuck in different stations after the derailment of the container train. “Dhaka-bound Sylhet Mail, Upakal Express, Subarna Express, Kalni Express, Mymensingh-bound Bijoy Express from Dhaka and the Chittagong-bound Mahanagar Pravati are stranded,” he said. Akhaura Railway Police OC Abdus Sattar said that a rescue train has rushed to the spot, according to bdnews24.com.
