Dhaka’s train communications with northern and south-western Bangladesh has been cut off after heavy rains triggered erosion near a rail bridge in Tangail, police say. Two passenger trains have been stranded on each side of the bridge at Kalihati. Bangabandhu (Jamuna) Bridge East Police Station’s OC Akheruzzaman said the train services were disrupted since 10:00am on Saturday, according to bdnews24.com.
