Diabetes: Change of lifestyle needed
Sunday, 7 December 2014
The number of diabetes patients is increasing day by day in our country. We need to be more careful and aware about the diseaseit, as prevention is better than cure. Sedentary life has many negative effects on our life. So we must change our lifestyle and lead an active life. Every year World Diabetes Day is observed on November 14. Creating awareness is the most important thing as this will make the common people alert against diabetes. In an estimate it has been found that 389 million people in the world are suffering from diabetes. If the diabetes is not kept under control it severely damages the human body and drives towards premature death. Due to urban hectic life and its unavoidable stress, we the city-dwellers, hardly get any physical activities. Often we are confined within the four walls of our office or home as a result of which obesity increases and so do the chances of having diabetes. But if we live a disciplined life we can function properly despite having diabetes. Many people lead a disciplined life and become more health conscious after being diabetic which greatly improves their quality of life in later years.
