Digital centres to sell domestic flight tickets of Biman

Rural people from now on will be able to buy tickets of domestic flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, national flag carrier of the country, from their doorsteps as the facility will be provided at the union digital centres.
The union digital centres are newly established one-stop service outlets operating at all the 4,547 union parishads across the country.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday in this regard between Access to Information (a2i) Program of Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and Biman.
Kabir Bin Anwar, project director of a2i and also the director general (administration) of PMO, and Biman's marketing and sales director Mohammad Shah Newaj signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations, UNB reported.
Under the MoU, Biman domestic flight tickets will be available at 100 union digital centres in 11 districts on an experimental basis.
