Digital innovation fair begins in Palashbari

GAIBANDHA, Mar 21 (BSS) : A two-day Digital Innovation Fair-2015 began in Palashbari upazila town in the district on Friday with a call to reach services to the doorsteps of the people.
Upazila administration has organised the fair under Access to Information Programme of Prime Minister Office funded by GoB, USAID and UNDP.
The objective of the fair is to inform all about what types of services of the government and non government offices are being provided to the people through digitised process within less cost and short time.
Acting upazila chairman Kohinoor Akter Shipon and UNO SM Mazharul Islam formally inaugurated the fair in the afternoon as the chief guest and special guest respectively.
President of Upazila Awami League and former MP Tofazzel Hossain Sarker, president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal( upazila unit) Nuruzzaman Prodhan, commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangshad (upazila unit command) Abdur Rahman and journalist Masudar Rahman were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the function, the guests said the government led by PM Sheikh Hasina had already achieved remarkable success in building digital Bangladesh in different sectors including health, education, agriculture and information and communication technology departments.
They also urged all to help the government from their respective positions to materialise the dream of transforming the country into a middle-income one by 2021 with the spirit of the Liberation War through building digital Bangladesh.
