\\\"Digital World 2014\\\" to be held on June 4-7

"Digital World 2014", the country's biggest ever IT exposition, will be held in the city on June 4-7 this year to spur the growth of ICT sector for economic benefits of the nation.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to open this three-day extravaganza at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on June 4.
President Abdul Hamid is expected to attend the closing session to be held at the same venue on June 7, said the organizers at a press conference here on Saturday.
"Digital World 2014 will be the largest showcasing of IT sector in Bangladesh - local and foreign IT experts will share knowledge about the latest developments in IT world offering a rare opportunity for our young generation," said state minister for posts, telecommunications and information technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
As one of the prime goals of the government is to build a digital Bangladesh by 2021, the government had implemented a number of programmes for the development of ICT sector of the country, according to BBS.
