Digitalising question papers suggested

Sunday, 29 June 2014

The committee investigating the alleged leak of HSC question papers has suggested digitalising the whole process of preparing question papers for all public examinations.
It has also proposed to fix the set of question papers for the tests in the morning of the exam day, according to a news agency.
Committee chief, Additional Education Secretary Sohrab Hossain Monday handed over the findings of their investigation to Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.
Hossain said they have made several recommendations to stop question paper leaks, but it would not be possible to implement some of those due to infrastructural problems.
“We have submitted our report. Now the government will decide which recommendation it will accept.”
He said they emphasised on using modern technology in preparing the question papers. “This will be internet-based which means the exam centres will have to have internet, printer and electricity.”
“Security must be ensured for the locally printed question papers. This will reduce the possibility of leakage. For that, infrastructure will have to be developed,” Hossain said.
