RANGPUR, Mar 3 (BSS): The digitisation process has already become successful by and large influencing every sphere of the civic life tremendously benefiting the common people through enabling them in getting all necessary information.
The common people from all walks in the society have been getting their necessary government services easily in a hassle-free manner from the union information service centres (UISCs) and other web portals set up at the upazila and district levels.
Executive Director of North Bengal Institutive of Development Studies Dr Syed Samsuzzaman said the online digital facilities, now available everywhere both in rural and urban areas, have become irreversible part of civic life.
Following the tremendous success already achieved in the process of digitisation, the common people as well as the younger generations now firmly believe that every village would come under digitisation in near future, he added.
Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Dilwar Bakht said the people are now getting all necessary information, services and benefits through the UISCs on agriculture, health, medicare, education, admission, law, human rights, employment, marketing produce and other fields.
They are also easily getting services like composing, printing, photo, scanning, emailing and talking to others using internet and web cam both at home and abroad and multimedia projector facilities etc at nominal prices from the UISCs, he further said.
Head of the Department of Bengali of Begum Rokeya Government College Professor Shah Alam said the UISCs have been providing necessary services to the common people at the lowest cost in a hassle-free manner making their life easier.
Because of digitisation, extent of corruption has been reduced to the minimum in recent times and more accountability and transparency have been prevailing in the government service centres, departments and offices, he added.
