Dilip urges Asian countries to exchange expertise to raise gross productivity

Minister for Industries Dilip Barua Sunday urged the Asian countries to exchange knowledge and expertise in order to increase gross productivity in the region.
Calling the present global market scenario a 'more competitive one based on quality of output and services' he said "if we want to survive in the global competitive market, we must improve the quality and productivity of our goods and services as per customers' demand."
Mr Barua was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the five-day international training course on Knowledge Management for NPO Trainers/Facilitators at a local hotel.
Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Japan & National Productivity Organization (NPO), Bangladesh is organising this international event in the city. As many as 20 delegates from Cambodia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh are participating in this training course.
Presided by Industries Secretary Dewan Zakir Hussain, APO Representative Kamlesh Prakash, Director, National Productivity Organization Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam and Joint Director, NPO Md. Belayet Hussain attended the inaugural program.
