Dinajpur, Mymensingh to be made city corporations: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said that the government is planning to upgrade Dinajpur and Mymensingh municipalities to city corporations. She made the announcement while responding to a question from AKM Maidul Islam (Kurigram-3) during the PM’s question-answer session in the Parliament. Hasina said the two municipalities would be elevated to city corporations if they fulfil criteria as per the Local Government (City Corporation) Rules-2010, according to a news agency.
