Dipu, Krishna talk tricky issues

Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna had wide-ranging talks on all tricky bilateral issues in New Delhi Tuesday to update the ties between the two neighbours, officials from the Indian capital told UNB.
The talks held at the Hyderabad House lasted more than two hours from 11am (IST) covering entire gamut of bilateral relations, including longstanding trade, water and border issues.
Before the delegation-level meeting, two foreign ministers had one-to-one talk in a 10-minute lead-in, Minister (Press) at Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi Enamul Huq Chowdhury said.
Foreign Secretary Mijarul Quayes, Bangladesh High Commissioner Tarique Ahmed Karim and Director General (South Asia) Mohammad Imran were present from Bangladesh side while Indian External Affairs Secretary Nirupoma Rao was present on the host side.
Details of the outcome of the meeting were not available immediately.
After the formal talks, Dr Dipu Moni met Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in North Block.
She was scheduled to call on Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at 5:00pm (IST).
